Less sleep makes you hungrier by changing your appetite hormones
When you're running on too little sleep, the hormone that drives hunger increases, while the one that signals fullness decreases. You end up hungrier than usual, and not for a salad. Cravings swing hard towards fatty, sugary, carb-heavy food.
