Smart Iron Patches – With Vitamin C & Methylated B12 for Energy & Oxygen Support
Smart Iron Patches – With Vitamin C & Methylated B12 for Energy & Oxygen Support
For people with low iron, fatigue, or poor gut absorption, iron is delivered through the skin rather than the stomach.
Patched Up Smart Iron Patches deliver iron bisglycinate, vitamin C, and methylated B12 (methylcobalamin) through the skin rather than via the digestive system. They are designed for people with low iron levels, those experiencing fatigue or breathlessness and anyone whose stomach can't tolerate oral iron tablets.
Smart Iron Patches deliver highly absorbable iron bisglycinate, plus activated B12 and vitamin C — directly through the skin. No pills. No stomach upset. Just clean, effective support for energy, oxygen transport, and healthy iron levels.
✅ 50 mg Iron (bisglycinate)
✅ 1200 mcg Methylcobalamin (active B12)
✅ 100 mg Vitamin C to enhance absorption
✅ 8 patches per pack
✅ Wear for up to 48 hours
Why Iron Matters
Iron is essential for:
- Red blood cell and haemoglobin production
- Oxygen transport and circulation
- Energy metabolism and brain function
- Reducing fatigue, dizziness, and shortness of breath
These patches utilise iron bisglycinate, the most bioavailable form of iron, combined with vitamin C to enhance absorption and B12 to support red blood cell health.
Who might benefit?
Smart Iron Patches may support:
- Low iron levels or iron deficiency
- Fatigue, low energy, or breathlessness
- Poor dietary iron intake
- Individuals with gut sensitivity or poor oral absorption
Transdermal delivery bypasses the digestive system, making it an ideal option for individuals who experience side effects from oral iron.
🧒 Safe for Kids?
Yes — Smart Iron Patches may be suitable for children, provided they receive appropriate guidance.
1. About Absorption
Each patch contains 50 mg of iron bisglycinate, but only 15–40% is absorbed. At 40%, a child may absorb ~20 mg of elemental iron over 48 hours — about 2 days' worth for many age groups.
2. Dosing Guidance
Start with 1 patch per week. If well tolerated and energy improves, increase to 2 patches per week if needed.
Always consult a healthcare provider before making any changes.
3. Iron Needs by Age
| Age Group | Iron RDI (mg/day) |
|---|---|
| 7–12 months | 8 mg |
| 1–3 years | 9 mg |
| 4–13 years | 10 mg |
| Teen boys (14–18) | 11 mg |
| Teen girls (14–18) | 15 mg |

Frequently Asked Questions

Why iron bisglycinate instead of regular iron?
Iron bisglycinate is iron bound to the amino acid glycine. We chose this form because it's recognised as one of the most bioavailable forms of iron — meaning more of it reaches the cells that need it. It's also the form least likely to cause issues if any oral iron is taken alongside the patch, making it a sensible choice across the board. The combination of bisglycinate and our transdermal delivery method means the iron reaches your bloodstream efficiently without passing through the digestive system at all.
How is this different from taking an iron tablet?
Iron tablets pass through your stomach acid and digestive system, which causes the side effects most people complain about — nausea, cramping, constipation, and dark stools. They also need to be taken on an empty stomach for proper absorption, but doing so often makes the side effects worse. Transdermal patches deliver iron directly into the bloodstream through the skin, bypassing the gut entirely. No stomach side effects, no timing rules, and a steady release over 48 hours rather than a single hard hit.
How often should I use Smart Iron Patches?
Apply one patch to clean, dry, hair-free skin and wear it for up to 48 hours. Most people use them 1–4 times per week, depending on their iron levels and needs. If you're recovering from low iron-related conditions, your healthcare provider may recommend more frequent use. If you're maintaining healthy levels, less frequent use is fine.
Can vegetarians and vegans use Smart Iron Patches?
Yes — these patches are particularly useful for vegetarians and vegans, who often struggle to get enough iron from plant sources alone. Plant-based iron (non-haem iron) is significantly less bioavailable than the iron found in meat, which is why many vegetarians have low iron levels despite eating an iron-rich diet. The patch supplements iron levels without requiring any change to dietary habits, and the patches themselves are vegan and contain no animal-derived ingredients.
Why are there vitamins C and B12 in the iron patch?
Vitamin C and methylated B12 are included because both work alongside iron in the body. B12 is a critical partner in red blood cell production — many people with low iron also have low B12, and they're commonly deficient together. Including methylated B12 (the active form your body uses directly) supports the full pathway from iron absorption through to red blood cell formation. Vitamin C plays a complementary role in iron metabolism and is included to round out the formulation.
Should I get my iron levels tested before using these?
Ideally, yes. A simple blood test can show whether your iron and ferritin levels are low, within the normal range, or already adequate. Iron is one of the few nutrients for which having too much is also a concern, so testing helps you use the patches purposefully rather than guessing. If you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, or feel persistently fatigued, it's worth asking your GP for an iron studies blood test.
